Pick To Click: 2010 Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale
An American brute dressed in a tailored Italian suit
There are only nine of these in the world. And one’s up for grabs.
Meet the 2010 Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale, a love letter penned in carbon fiber, written by Zagato, and signed with a V10 scream. Under the hood? A Dodge Viper ACR’s 8.4-liter V10 and six-speed manual. Under the skin? Full SRT-10 guts.
Built to celebrate Alfa Romeo’s centennial and coachbuilt by the geniuses at Zagato, the TZ3 Stradale is what happens when old-school Italian styling gets strapped to a Dodge Viper’s drivetrain. It's the spiritual successor to the Tubolare Zagatos of the 1960s. Only now with 600+ horsepower and a manual gearbox.
Finished in an understated-but-deadly Dark Blue Metallic, this carbon-bodied sculpture wears just 1,863 miles and comes from a pedigreed Arizona collection. The silhouette is pure Zagato: long nose, Kamm tail, and that signature double-bubble roofline. Equal parts art and menace.
It’s hard to overstate just how unusual, and special, this car is. On paper, the pairing of an Alfa badge with a Dodge Viper powertrain sounds like a dare, or maybe the result of a long night of Negronis and a blank check. But in practice, it works. Brilliantly. Zagato’s design evokes the golden age of Italian motorsport, while the drivetrain brings brute-force American performance into the equation. It’s a cross-continental experiment that somehow feels cohesive rather than chaotic. You’re looking at a car that’s both a tribute and a provocation.
What makes this example even more compelling is its condition. With under 2,000 miles and a single collector owner, it’s essentially a time capsule. Preserved, but not over-polished. It’s the kind of car you could show at a concours or take for a proper canyon run, depending on the day. And while most rare cars lean into fragility, the TZ3’s Viper DNA means it’s a rare exotic that’s also genuinely robust. If ever there were a unicorn you could drive and admire from across the garage, this is it.
